The Epiphany

I created this artwork to commemorate the Feast of the Epiphany. I wanted to capture a new perspective of the presentation of the three gifts by focusing on the magi from the point-of-view of the manger. The posture of each man and the magi’s facial expressions illustrate how they were humbled by the moment and filled with joy. A golden light emanates from the manger; though not a realistic scenario, this dramatic lighting helps to convey the sense of majesty and glory that the magi beheld.
