This campaign was designed to promote Armed Forces Entertainment’s annual summer concert series, HeatWave. The creative materials include an 11x17” poster, social media graphic, animated graphic, and t-shirt designs. One of my goals was to make a piece that felt patriotic in celebration of the July 4th holiday, as well as something that felt lighthearted and fun to appeal to AFE’s young audience. The red, white, and blue color scheme captures the patriotic feel, although the colors are brighter and warmer than the actual U.S. flag colors. The bald eagle also references the national bird of the U.S. and symbol of the armed forces. The depiction of the bald eagle playing guitar is a fun and whimsical approach that reflects AFE’s mission to entertain, particularly drawing inspiration from the rock bands that have toured with AFE.
